In my former career as as a trade book publisher, I loved helping people put their ideas in between the covers of a book. With those decades of experience and now as an author myself, I assist writers in determining their desired outcomes and in finding the best route to get there. Besides high-level consultation, I can help with writing a book proposal and submitting it to publishers.

The Eight Questions

I have found that the very first thing authors need to do is ton create a vision and a realistic set of outcomes for their project, a strategic approach that I call the “Eight Questions Every Author Should Ask Before They Publish.”
This process happens via zoom or in-person, with two different, one-hour sessions, an evaluation of manuscripts and a brief, written set of realistic and achievable outcomes, which I call the “Publishing Plan.”

Book editing

I offer reading and content/substantive editing of manuscripts, both to individual authors and to publishers.. Rates are here. I can even ghost-write for you!

Self-publishing and design services

As a self-published author of two books, I help authors navigate the myriad steps to create a professional-looking book. My team of freelancers can assist with all parts of the process, from editing, proofreading and design, to marketing and sales. My ultimate goal is to empower authors to be able to masters as much of this process as they can on their own!
